Are there any support groups 4 nurse after license has been suspended?I learned after license suspended about professional peer assist but not able to participate Due to license already suspended.Im taking steps to regain after 10 years of a long,lonely road.And a hard lessoned learned,but the support group Im in has no other nurses no one seems to want to discuss this growing epedemic,Ive had more doors shut on me and sorry good luck.Ive learned how strong I am, I also was suprised to learn that a profession that is suppose to be caring,empathetic,and compassionate,shunned me and judged.Im human,I made a huge mistake,I hurt no patients I cared for only hurt myself.I also learned only a year ago about the federal exclusion list Im on due to civil penality imposed on me.This shut out 5 years experiance I had in aviation.I understand not being able to do direct care,or work in medical field.But Im also excluded from other employment opportunities that have 0 to do with nursing.For being impaired,Ive also been punished with the reality of bankrupcy & starting over,plus paying civil penality.I hope to someday advocate for another nurse.Ive been clean 10yrs.
